Meet the Kuttefail Crew

This is the rogues gallery. The misfits. The legends. The loyal few who’ve carried golf bags, beers and duty free whiskeys, hangovers, and bruised egos across the world since 2017. From Bangkok to Dubai, Delhi to Danang, these are the men who’ve turned missed putts into punchlines and tee times into tradition. Some swing smooth, others just swing wildly but every one of them brings something unforgettable to the Kuttefail table. Scroll on to meet the golfers, the drinkers and tee-totalers, the rule-benders, and the memory-makers behind the madness.

Ajay Kapoor “AK”

The OG • Competitive Fireball

One of the originals since 2017, Ajay is a true Kuttefail masterpiece in motion equal parts passion, power, and pure unpredictability. He plays with the intensity of a man in the final round of The Masters, whether it’s a friendly 4-ball or a breakfast putting contest. Losing can ruin his day, but one win transforms him into the life of the party and he’ll make sure you never forget it. Just ask Harbir, who’s been reminded of Ajay’s famous singles win from years ago in every conversation since. Also known for his unique ability to launch a club further than some of his tee shots, Ajay brings the drama, the stories, and the sore wrists to every round.

Harbir Dhingra “Harry”

Treasurer • Wine Snob

Harbir is one of the original founding fathers of Kutte Fail, and its official treasurer-for-life—a title he wears with pride (and a suspicious lack of payment history). He’s the only member to have hit a hole-in-one and insists  that none of the courses we play are “challenging enough”, he’s happiest when the fairways are tight, the greens are nasty, and the rest of us are suffering.

Also famous for splitting all the bills and somehow never appearing on any of them, Harbir is the guy you want keeping the score, just maybe not the receipts. Off the course, he’s Kuttefail’s resident wine connoisseur, pairing birdies with Bordeaux and bogeys with Burgundy

Gautam “Doc” Sehgal

Doctor in Residence • Senior statesman

A founding member and one of the few with full attendance across all trips, Doc is Kuttefail’s resident travel physician, though thankfully no one’s needed a prescription (yet). Don’t be fooled by the title—Doc isn’t the quiet, sober type you’d expect. He’s loud, opinionated, and impossible to ignore on or off the course. Known for his ability to play 18 holes with style and then ghost the afterparty in record time, Doc has perfected the art of “show up big, exit louder.” Whether it’s his expressive commentary, clinical shot diagnosis, or strong opinions on hotels and flights, Doc brings a dose of seniority and a whole lot of spice to every Kuttefail gathering.

Imanjit Singh “Baba”

The Godfather of Kuttefail • Quote Machine

Imanjit is the man who named the madness. A founding member since 2017, he coined the legendary term “Kuttefail” at the breakfast table hungover, defeated, and still somehow confident after a heavy night of drinking. While his golf may come and go, his one‑liners are forever, and honestly, he probably deserves a dedicated page just for his quotes. Known for always suggesting “one last drink” (which is never actually the last), Imanjit’s room has unofficially become the designated after party zone on every trip. If Kuttefail had a soundtrack, Imanjit would be the voiceover.

JP “Honey” Singh

Beauty Seeker • Lager Lover

JP has been part of Kuttefail since day one and is best known for his unwavering appreciation of all things beautiful courses, caddies and company, and most importantly, his own selfies. His selfie game is unmatched, and definitely stronger than his short game. While others need drinking partners, JP is a solo beer guzzler extraordinaire, having carried the hops torch alone ever since Neel tragically switched teams to tequila. A gentleman, a lover of aesthetics, and a one-man media team JP plays golf in between photoshoots and beer

Rahul “Coordinator” Misra

The Organiser™ • Group Slave Since 2017

Rahul is one of the founding fathers of Kuttefail and the unquestioned logistics overlord. From booking tee times to airport pickups, dinner reservations, last-minute caddy rescues, and now even building this bloody website you name it, he’s done it. While Imanjit and Harbir pretend to help, Rahul quietly moves mountains (and people) to make sure every trip goes off semi-smoothly. Somehow, he’s been stuck in the back-marker group for years despite not having won a tournament since 2021 but he keeps showing up with a smile and a spreadsheet. He may be the one carrying the bags (and the burden), but without Rahul, Kuttefail would still be stuck in immigration.

Amit Kukar “Bird”

Top Tier Drinker • Bromance Specialist

Amit made his Kuttefail debut in 2018 with an unforgettable initiation that included one beer too many and a broken golf cart windown a combo that instantly earned him both street cred and a repair bill. Over the years, he’s forged a legendary (and hilariously one-sided) bromance with non-drinker Ajay Kapoor, fueled by equal parts profanity and pure Kuttefail chemistry. Known for his stamina off the course, Amit comfortably sits in the Kuttefail All Time Top 5 for alcohol consumption, holding his own round after round, drink after drink. Golf is great but for Amit, the real game starts at sundown.

Dewan Rakesh Nath “Pinto”

Dr No  • Selective Memory

Rakesh joined the Kuttefail crew in 2018 on the legendary China trip and we’ve been trying to interpret him ever since. Known affectionately (and sometimes sarcastically) as “Damo” (a spin on NaMo and “Pinto since he refers to everyone as “My son”) but more recently dubbed “Dr. No” for his expert-level contrarianism, Rakesh can be counted on to disagree with any rule, any stroke count, and occasionally, basic physics. His memory is selective, often claiming he’s never lost a tournament, despite a leaderboard that says otherwise. Love him or debate him, Rakesh brings drama, doubt, and deeply entertaining conversations to every round.

Neel Tandon “Tandon”

The Big Easy • Mr Forgetful

Neel joined Kuttefail in 2018 and quickly earned the title of “most easygoing guy in the group” so easygoing, in fact, that he once left his golf clubs behind at the hotel not once, but two days in a row. And just when we thought he’d gotten it together, he left his passport in the hotel safe the following year. A true vibe ambassador, Neel was once JP’s legendary beer-guzzling wingman, but has since undergone a full transformation into a refined tequila connoisseur, sipping reposado while the rest of us are still chasing lagers. Whether he’s missing gear or just floating through the chaos, Neel brings a zen-like balance to the madness of every trip.

Shamsher Dhupia “Shami”

Silent Assassin • Voice of Reason

Shamsher joined the Kuttefail madness in 2018 and was unluckily paired with Rakesh on his first outing an experience that still gives him mild trauma. Widely regarded as the most naturally talented golfer in the group, Shamsher’s swing is poetry… until Imanjit enters the picture. As his long-time “one last drink” co-conspirator, Imanjit has derailed more of Shamsher’s final rounds than any bunker ever could. He should have won far more than he has but hangovers and poor pairing decisions have kept the trophy cabinet lighter than it deserves. Still, when tempers flare or debates rage, Shamsher is the group’s voice of reason, a rare mix of calm, class, and carnage depending on how late the night went.

Anuj Vij

Overseas Member • Brother-in-Law of Baba

Anuj holds the distinct honour of being Kuttefail’s first out-of-town member, repping the crew all the way from Manchester though in a twist of identity crisis, he supports Liverpool. As Imanjit’s brother-in-law, he had little choice but to join the madness, but quickly carved out his own legend mostly through his unique love/fear relationship with Rakesh, whom he endearingly (and nervously) calls “Pintooo”. Whether he’s dodging Rakesh’s rulebook debates or just trying to get through a round in peace, Anuj brings international flair, family ties, and just the right amount of fear-based humor to the Kuttefail chaos.

Jaspreet “Laali” Sokhi

Chandigarh Thunder • Silent Striker

Laali rolled in as Kuttefail’s second official out-of-towner, repping Chandigarh with quiet confidence and a swing that speaks louder than words. He may not say much, but his clubs do all the talking and they rarely stutter. His nickname Laali hints at a colourful off-course persona that the group suspects exists but has yet to fully witness. A man of few words, many pars, and mysterious weekend habits, Laali is Kuttefail’s strong, silent wildcard and we’re still waiting for the afterparty version to make his long-awaited debut.

Gaurav Sahu “Sahu”

Bihari Rage Machine • Whatsapp Ghost

Gaurav might come across as the most relaxed and composed player in the Kuttefail lineup until golf does what golf does best: push every emotional button he has. One mis-hit and suddenly the air is alive with a stream of self-abuse in pure Bihari slang, occasionally directed at unsuspecting caddies who don’t understand a word of it but know better than to make eye contact. Off the course, Gaurav holds the unique title of Kuttefail’s silent observer he’s always online, reads every single WhatsApp message, but hasn’t replied since 2022. Calm, fiery, unread, unforgettable. Sahu is Kuttefail’s walking contradiction, and we wouldn’t have him any other way.

Manpreet “Bobby” Gulri

Winless Warrior • Rakesh’s Favourite Target

Bobby joined the Kuttefail circus in Dubai 2023 and has since carried the dubious honour of never having won a single tournament—a fact that’s becoming a bit of a monkey on his back, and a running joke for everyone else. He’s the innocent face of the group (or so we think), but has already fallen victim to Rakesh’s Jedi-level guile more than once—usually without even realising it. Quietly competitive, ever-hopeful, and always game for the grind, Bobby may not have a trophy yet, but he’s fast becoming a fan favourite… unless you’re keeping score.

Abhay Singh Sarila

Debut 2025 • Booze First, Golf Later

Abhay made his grand entrance at Bangkok 2025, handpicked less for his golf game and more for his elite drinking stamina and he’s been living up to the hype ever since. Instantly inducted into Kuttefail’s Top 5 all-time drinkers, Abhay brings a rare skill: healing minor injuries with mid-round double vodkas. Limping? Twisted back? Just pour and proceed. While his swing may be a work in progress, his commitment to the “play hard, party harder” motto is unquestionable. With Abhay on board, the fairway gets fuzzier, and the post-game stories get better.

Saurabh Uppal

Member Since 2025 • Whiskey Lover

Saurabh joined the Kuttefail circus in Bangkok 2025 and pulled off a rare feat winning on debut. But before we could fully register his arrival, he’d already slipped back into the shadows. While his golf game clearly has potential, Saurabh is yet to complete all matches in any tournament he’s entered, making him something of a part-time legend. What he lacks in match mileage, he more than makes up for in drinking stamina earning himself a warm spot in Kuttefail’s ever-growing whiskey brigade.

Navin Vacchar

2017 Original • Winless Legend

Navin has been part of the founding Kuttefail crew since 2017, showing up with quiet consistency, unmatched patience and a win record that somehow never left the ground. Despite playing in multiple tournaments across the years, victory always eluded him, sometimes heartbreakingly close, sometimes not even. But what Navin lacked in trophies, he made up for in loyalty, laughter, and those solid drives that fooled us into thinking “this might be his year.” He stepped away from the circuit in 2022, still winless, but forever part of Kuttefail lore. Here’s hoping for a comeback because unfinished business deserves one more swing.

Akhil Nath

2017 Founding Member • Legend status

Akhil was part of the original Kuttefail crew in 2017, bringing equal parts golfing flair and off-course charisma to the mix. Talented with the clubs and even more colourful without them, Akhil left his mark on the early years with style, stories, and the kind of energy you can’t teach. Whether he was draining putts or lighting up a night out, Akhil played every trip like it was a major—and dressed like it was one too. Though he no longer travels with the group, his legend status remains firmly intact, and his absence is felt every time the post-round gossip gets a little too tame
